About Us

Quality, fair, and timely. All made in the U.S.A.

RD Tool & Engineering is your one-stop shop for all plastic injection mold needs.

We are a spinoff of a molding company that started in the mid 60's. Due to our rich history, we not only have great insight on how to build the tooling for a product, but also know how to actually mold the product and how those processes work. Our unique perspective allows us to fully understand the entire operation and allows us to combat any issues encountered.

RD Tool & Engineering specializes in manufacturing plastic injection molds. However, our services don't stop there. We offer complete project management to help bring your idea to a reality from start to finish. This includes product development, quick-turn prototype tooling, fully automatic production tooling, as well as repair and maintenance on existing molds. We have a vested interest in all of our customers. When you succeed, we succeed.

Mission Statement & Quality Policy

It is the mission of RD Tool & Engineering to specialize in the manufacturing of injection molds by blending knowledge and technology to produce a quality product, at a fair price, in a timely matter through employee development and continuous improvement.  It is the quality policy of RD Tool & Engineering to meet and exceed all customer's expectations by defining and pursuing their ideal.

John Karls

Vice President

Steve Neubaum and John Karls have both devoted their entire careers to perfecting their craft of manufacturing plastic injection molds. Both graduated from Southeast Community College in Nebraska with degrees in Precision Machining and Automation Technology; they were eager to get to work. They began their first and only jobs at RD Industries, a large plastic injection molding company in Omaha. They learned the business inside and out from the ground up; always going the "extra mile" to ensure their duties were performed correctly. In July 2001, Steve and John were presented with an opportunity to purchase the tool & engineering division of the business. Under their leadership, RD Tool & Engineering has enhanced their technology and the processes used to manufacture plastic injection molds. They have also expanded their facility to incorporate a brand-new engineering department as well as created more space for new high-tech CNC machinery
